(My wonderful family at my brother's wedding. ^ im right there)
One of the many things I'm grateful for my parents doing is having us seat down almost every night and eat dinner as a family. Even today, with my brothers and I not living at home anymore, having busy schedules and taking care of little ones, we still get together at least once a week or once every two weeks to spend family time together. To set aside our dramas, our busy schedules and relax and check up on one another. Food was one of the many things that bring us together. That's one of the main reasons why I love it and why I cook. So when I start a family of my own, I can have delicious meals on the table for them and I can spend quality time with my children, like my parents did with us.
The name of my blog "Show Me To The Kitchen" came from my lovely sis-in-law Shaylen :). I told her that I was thinking of starting up a food blog and right away she was throwing ideas out for a title. I was torn between this title and "The Art of Feeding Donny" ( Donny is my fiance, and only a few people would see why this title is funny) She then told me why she thought show me to the kitchen would be a fitting title for me. She said. " I figured with you that's all we have to do is show you to the kitchen and then out comes tasty treats!". She had a point. You give me a kitchen, some ingredients, an oven and a stove, I'll make ya something right then and there! Not just because I want to, but because I love to make food for people. I love making them happy with the things I make for them. I'm happy when they're happy, and food does a good job of getting that done. I want to share with them all the wonderful things that cooking and baking has done for me.
So, enough rambling, its time for me to plan my agenda so you good, wonderful people reading and following this blog will soon have amazing recipes on hand. Thank you to all that inspired me to start this and feel free to comment! Bon Appetite!
I am excited to see all the delicious recipes that come!
